Note: It is highly recommended that you have previous on-track experience before becoming licensed through attending Licensing Seminar. Check out our "On-Track" Instruction school.

Motorcycle

     
Personal Riding Gear
REQUIRED:  
Helmet - full coverage (tight fit); DOT or SNELL approved (buy best you can afford!!!)
Leathers - one-piece (with plastic inserts at shoulders, elbows & knees are best); two-piece (acceptable, but must zip together at waist)
Boots - must be 8" high (above ankle bone); racing boots recommended (NO STEEL TOES)
Gloves - good race-quality gloves (studded palms or kevlar reinforced)
RECOMMENDED:  
Back Protector - highly recommended!!!
Ear Plugs - recommended by racers - you can suffer hearing loss; lessens distractions & fatigue
     
Miscellaneous Needs
  • Snacks/lunch-type foods & drink (recommend Gatorade)
  • Machine maintenance supplies & tools
  • Chain lube, tie wraps, oil, distilled water, spare tires & tire pressure gauge
  • Stopwatch recommended
  • Crew person, if possible
  • Sweat towels
  • Machine stand
* Most track facilities include restrooms/showers, public telephone, air, race gas

Costs - Moroso & Homestead

$100 - FKRS Licensing Seminar
$10 - Deposit for Licensing School vest
 
plus CCS fees:
$75 - Practice Day fee*
$20 - crew pass (including racers)
$100 - CCS License Fee ($60 after July 1, $25 after Sept. 1)
$50 - each race
*must enter at least one race on Sunday to practice on Saturday
